Preserving Vidarbha’s Textile Traditions

The Weavers’ Service Centre in Nagpur recently launched “Threaded Tales of Vidarbha,” a coffee table book documenting the handloom traditions of the Vidarbha region. Designed by Shruti Sancheti, it highlights local weavers’ artistry and stories along with original research, photographs, and personal insights, aiming to preserve and promote Vidarbha’s textile legacy.

Reliance Industries has invested in two prominent Indian fashion designers, Manish Malhotra and Ritu Kumar. It acquired a 40% stake in Malhotra’s MM Styles and a 52% stake in Kumar’s Ritika Pvt. Ltd. These partnerships aim to enhance the brands’ growth and promote Indian craftsmanship in global markets.
